Biography

Dr Luisa Lee, a medical doctor and public health specialist by training, joined The Farrer Park Company Pte Ltd (SHP) as its President / CEO in November 2009.

Prior to her employment with SHP, Dr Lee has had an illustrious career, holding several leadership positions both in the private as well as the public sectors. During her 30 years of service in the public sector, she served as CEO of Woodbridge Hospital/Institute of Mental Health, CEO of Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Medical Director of the Ministry of Health’s Training and Health Education Department, and external lecturer and external examiner to the Community Occupational and Family Medicine Department of the National University of Singapore.

After retirement from the civil service in 2001, Dr Lee worked with the National Healthcare Group as CEO of its New Ventures Division until early 2003, when she left to start and manage Eu Yan Sang Integrative Health Pte Ltd, a joint venture company with SGX-listed Eu Yan Sang International Ltd. She also became Medical Advisor to HerbalScience Singapore Pte Ltd, and CEO at HSRx Pte Ltd (a subsidiary of HerbalScience Group LLC).

Dr Lee is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Her past academic appointments include Vice-Chairman and Council Member of the Chapter of Community and Occupational Medicine, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and Chairman of the Specialist Committee for Public Health/Community Medicine, School of Postgraduate Medical Studies at the National University of Singapore.

Dr Lee also served on the Boards of the National Heart Centre and Gamma Knife Centre, Advisory Committee of Health Sciences at Nanyang Polytechnic, as well as several other government committees and task forces. She represented Singapore at the World Health Assembly in 1988, and was a temporary advisor for the World Health Organization. She was also the principal investigator of several regional and international health projects.

Dr Lee received her MBBS in 1972 and MSc (Public Health) in 1976 from the University of Singapore and is the recipient of several Military and National Day Awards.
