Biography
Dr Kenny Chan was appointed the Managing Director of The Hour Glass Group on 1 April 2004 and is in charge of the Group’s watch retail business and its development. Prior to taking the helm, he was the Company’s Group Chief Operating Officer, a position he has held since joining The Hour Glass in July 2002.
He was the Managing Director of Burberry Singapore Pte Ltd and Burberry Australia Pty Ltd from 1992 to 2001, which were part of a group of companies that were the exclusive distributors and agents of Burberry, covering territories that included Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and New Caledonia. He led a team and embarked on establishing the brand; developing shop-in-shop concepts, merchandising strategy for the local markets, product development and marketing strategies.
Dr Kenny Chan is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, Singapore and he held the positions of Education Chairman and Chapter Chairman. He served as a Council Member of the Singapore Retailers Association from 2000 to 2002.
