Biography

Vikram Chand commenced his career as General Manager at Hermanos Kaybee, Hongkong in 1983 and subsequently was appointed as Director of Kaybee Japan Corp Osaka, Japan since 1988.  In 1993 he moved to Singapore and was designated as Managing Director of Kaybee Exim Pte Ltd – now the Group headquarters, in Singapore.

This successful family business, which started up in Japan since 1957, is an international trading company with focus on Yarns, Fashion Fabrics and Apparel.  The Group has a global network with over 15 offices spread in several countries in the Asia Pacific region to the Latin American continent.

In 2004, the group decided to expand into the Food & Beverage business, for which Vikram is currently nurturing Vega Foods Corp Private Ltd, Singpaore with focus on marketing their own branded food & beverage products, mainly sold in the African continent and parts of Asia.

Vikram was born and brought up in Japan and finished his schooling there. He graduated in Business Management from Richmond College/ London University, London.  He is bilingual with a diverse background.  Further studies were accomplished in Sotheby’s Academic Institute of Arts in London.

As an active member in the Young Presidents Organization, Singapore Chapter since 1997, he was delegated as the Post Chapter Chair in 20025/2006 and is presently Membership Chair.
